Do You, The Network Marketer, Understand the Power That Social Media Tools Can Have Upon Your Network Marketing Business?

By: Donna Wells

First of all, let me began asking you the network marketer, "Are you using social media tools, to engage your audience?" I mean are you really engaging them to a pivotal point , where they are in "AWE". If you are that's great . But if your not, take a moment sit back and learn how powerful social media tools can be for you and your network marketing business.

You know it was just the other day, I was listening to Nightline. And they were talking with Tony Hawk, the famous skateboarder.

"The Famous Skateboarder, Tony Hawk."

And as normal Nightline was talking about his career, his family and his age. You know the norm.
And then all of a sudden,

Guess what?

Nightline began talking about social media tools and how Tony Hawk uses the communication tool. Did you hear me "Social Media Tools?" The most phenomenon piece of communication tool available to us besides the telephone. I hope you heard me when I said that "The Most Phenomenon tool available."

Now, watch this video clip. And pay close attention to how Tony Hawk engages his audience.

Now after watching video, "Did you see how he alerted his audience with just a few keystrokes from his finger?" And all of a sudden people start coming in droves just to see what he was giving a away or offering.

I know you may say, your not famous like him. But I want you, the network marketer to remember Tony Hawk did not start out as a famous skateboarder. He started out as a individualy just like every else.. He basically built and branded his name by providing his market with value. He learned a skill that many of his followers are longing to conquer.

I hope you heard, "He Learned A Skill"

And that's what I want you to see, You learn a "skill" that your audience is craving for... And then all of sudden, you use the social media tool as your platform to AH-HA the audience.

Now if you see and understand how powerful the social media tools can be for you and your network marketing business, I encourage to get the in depth training on how to use the social media tool from Renegade University.

Tony Hawk demonstrated the perfect way to hone in on what your target audience is looking for and using twitter he was able to build a dynamite level of trust by communicating with them. Social networking tools are a great way to communicate with your target audience. If you aren't using these type of tools you are really missing the boat. Thanks for sharing this post!

Donna, I know for myself I

Donna,

I know for myself I was hestitant in becoming a part of the "social Media" world, but then I found the importance and influence that I had that helped others, in just a stroke of the finger. Like you said,

"I know you may say, your not famous like him. But I want you, the network marketer to remember Tony Hawk did not start out as a famous skateboarder. He started out as a individualy just like every else.. He basically built and branded his name by providing his market with value. He learned a skill that many of his followers are longing to conquer."

This is powerful, we all start from the beginning somewhere, learning and fine tuning a "new skill" is key in this fast world of business. If people find you sharing and being real they will follow and want more.

Donna, you made several good points in this post.

One, is the importance of putting the kind of content out there in whatever social media you use to capture the attention of your readers/followers/friends.

Every networker has much to contribute from their lives, expertise and personality.

Engaging the audience can become the result of authentic relationship building through social media.

Hi Donna,

Who knew that just going to parties, (social sites) could be so powerful. Just like a "normal" party, you get to know people, listen to them and find common things to talk about. I like how you pointed out that this is a skill that should be learned and applied. Otherwise a person can flounder at the "party" with no real direction. While it's great to party, when building a business, having focus on the direction of your conversations can save a lot of time.

With all that said, are you ready to party?? See you there. :-)

Take care,
Michelle

Fame comes in many "flavors". One does not need to be a national athlete, or a TV star to be famous. If you get out into your local community and start participating - you will gain local fame. I speak on the topic of social media in my local community at networking groups, leads groups, service groups, chamber events ect. I am always surprised to know that people I never met know my name, know what I do, and are seeking to meet me. ANYONE can create this for themselves with a little marketing skills. Social Media helped a great deal in creating local fame - if I can do it I know that you can too.

I liked how you made the social media connection with Tony Hawk and Twitter. Do you think network marketers could do that with their products, or something similar? I haven't seen that done before.

You are correct, it is a learned skill. But something to keep in mind, like all of us, Tony had to learn to use the tools. The thing is, Tony already had the influence.

Creating influence is what really defines success.

Nice work Donna.

What's In Your Toolbox

Donna I liked how you used Tony Hawk as an example of someone who understands the power of social media. His social media marketing campaigns have been solely responsible for at least a couple of hundred dollars for my sons PS3.

Social media marketing is a skill set that is quickly becoming a swot after profession. I've even heard of paid positions being created within companies because of the advertising exposure one can gain from an effective social media marketing campaign.

This is the future business, and those of us who are learning this skill will be in a great position to take advantage of the lucrative opportunities that lie ahead.
