They can now sell affiliate products to network marketers to increase affiliate cash-flow</p><p>2. They can now build a list of network marketers and leverage that into an MLM empire without the old tactics</p><p>3. I've been focused on training people how to set up their Internet marketing.&nbsp; Up until yesterday I'd pretty much forgotten about <a href="http://hubpages.com/hub/The-7-Great-Lies-of-Network-Marketing-A-Controversy">Ann Sieg's The&nbsp;7 Great Lies of Network Marketing </a>report.&nbsp; When I first read the report it didn't impact me all that much.&nbsp; It was Sieg's <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnPLYkuWj_4" target="_blank">Renegade Network Marketer </a>that I fell in love with.</p><p>But for a lot of people, The 7 Lies hit a chord.&nbsp; It didn't only excite a lot of burned out networkers and get them ready for change into affiliate network marketing and the funded proposal process, but it also ruffled the feathers of some of the old-school MLMers who feel threatend by the message.</p><p><span class="full-image-float-left"><a href="http://mike.marketingmerge.com/sieg" target="_blank"><img style="width: 184px; height: 200px" alt="RenegadeBookImage.jpg" src="http://www.networkmarketingsolved.com/storage/RenegadeBookImage.jpg" /></a></span>Well, up until yesterday I thought this was all old news and that it had become obvious by now that network marketing is a changin'.&nbsp; Then I got this nasty email from a million dollar income earner who I have known for over a decade.</p><p>His biggest beef with Ann Sieg was that she used negative marketing tactics to stir things up and he said this was harmful.&nbsp; What's funny is I happen to know he's used negative marketing tactics of over 10 years to scare poeple into buying his nutritional products (and invoking fear in our current health care model)--so I think something else is going on.</p><p>It wouldn't have bothered me.&nbsp; I mean, isn't it understandable that people will feel uncomfortable with change.&nbsp; Some don't handle it so well.&nbsp; Fine.&nbsp; But he said some things that borderlined crazy.</p><p>There is actually an organized group now who is attempting to get the <a href="http://www.dsa.org/" target="_blank">DSA (Direct Selling Association)</a> to put pressure on big network marketing companies to literally force associates to remove references and links and discussions pertaining to Ann Sieg's books or business strategy.&nbsp; Now, I thought we were business owners here.&nbsp; Moreso, I thought we had a 1st ammendment or something like that protecting us from this kind of nutso stuff.</p><p>I decided to create a series of discussions about the real danger here.&nbsp; Then, after you start seeing your content showing up on the search engines, and you get some hits, you can go for the more competitive key words and phrases going forward.</p><p><strong>What do I mean by competitive key words?</strong></p><p>Competitive key words (and key word phrases) are words and phrases that will have a lot of competition from other marketers.&nbsp;&nbsp;So, while there are a lot of people searching for these words or phrases, there are also a lot of marketers like yourself trying to compete for them.</p><p>So instead, what I'm suggesting, is to write your content (for a blog, or Squidoo,&nbsp;press releases, etc) that target less competitive key words and phrases until you get some exposure out there.&nbsp;</p><p>An example of some very competitive key words in my target market (network marketing) would be:</p><ol><li><div>network marketing</div></li><li><div>magnetic sponsoring</div></li><li><div>the renegade network marketer</div></li><li><div>building on a budget</div></li><li><div>mlm</div></li><li><div>mlm leads</div></li><li><div>generate mlm leads</div></li><li><div>generate network marketing leads</div></li></ol><p>I won't give you a big list of less competitive key words and phrases because if I do, they will become more competitive (since a lot of people will be reading this article).&nbsp; </p><p>I will give you one real example of a less competitive key word phrase I targeted.&nbsp; It was: &nbsp;<strong>Web 2.0 network marketing</strong>.</p><p>Although there won't be a huge number of people typing this in, there are numerous variations of that key word phrase that I could come up for on the search engines.&nbsp; If you go to Google now you'll see that if you search for <em>Web 2.0 network marketing</em>, I'm currently listed 2nd in the results.&nbsp; These would be highly targeted leads for me.&nbsp; </p><p>So though it's not going to bring me nearly the same results as if I came up on the first page for the search, <strong>network marketing</strong>, it's still exposure.&nbsp; About Tonight's Webinar </p><p>First, the Squidoo tip: </p><p>In the first set of tutorials we showed you how to set up your first Squidoo lens.&nbsp; Today, I'd like to give you a tip that can help you take your Squidoo to the next level. </p><p>Tip to get Squidoo Bringing You Prospects: </p><p>Write several Squidoo lenses on several 'hot topics' presently in your target market.&nbsp; If it's a NEW hot topic then people are searching for it but there is very little competition yet for related key word and phrase searches (because it&rsquo;s NEW). </p><p>(You can do this in Ezinearticles and other social marketing areas as well). </p><p>Remember, as I have said throughout many tutorials, you want to put your key word or phrases that you're trying to be found under FIRST in your marketing.&nbsp; So, in this case, you'd try to name your new Squidoo lenses with your key words or phrase FIRST in the name, as well as in the headlines.</p><p>So, if you&rsquo;re key word phrase you&rsquo;re focused on is:&nbsp; Building on a Budget, the name of your Squidoo lens should be:</p><p>Buildingonabudget</p><p>Or, if that were taken:</p><p>Buildingonabudgetdillard</p><p>Or,</p><p>Buildingonabudgetnetworking</p><p>I hope you will take some time to find hot topics for your target market&hellip; and don&rsquo;t &lsquo;just&rsquo; focus on &lsquo;building on a budget&rsquo; if you&rsquo;re attracting the same target market I am.&nbsp; There are so many key words and phrases to focus on.&nbsp; Go after many of them. </p><p><a href="http://mike.marketingmerge.com/" target="_blank">Click Here to Learn How to Generate Prospects and Start Building on a Budget with Social Marketing Web 2.0</a></p><p>More on this Squidoo tip&hellip;</p><p>Try to have a good density of key words or phrase sprinkled throughout your article.&nbsp; Don't use them too much--keep it natural.&nbsp; Just be mindful that they are used throughout.&nbsp; </p><p>Also, search engines not only prioritize headlines but also the words or phrases that you bold or italicize.&nbsp; If you've gone through the tutorials for Squidoo at Renegade Professional, you have seen where I give you directions on how to italicize or bold words (as well as how to link them to other pages, like your lead capture page). </p><p>On last Friday's Webinar, I mentioned this trick to everyone.&nbsp; My target market is networkers so I gave the example of using a hot key word phrase like, Building on a Budget.&nbsp; I wrote a quick Squidoo lens yesterday (took 15 minutes) and now see I am on page 2 for key word phrase, Building on a Budget, at Yahoo.&nbsp; I've had 8 hits and it hasn't been 24 hours.&nbsp; </p><p>Now that I see it got some hits I will improve it over time (adding more content, playing with key word density, etc). </p><p>So, to recap:&nbsp; If you have already started setting up a Squidoo lens, here's your next step: </p><p>1. Write several Squidoo lenses (and Ezine article lenses) about hot topics in your industry--use related key words and phrases in the name and headlines, and sprinkled throughout the text.&nbsp; Focus on one main key word or phrase (for name of Squidoo lens and to put throughout article)... and you can also have a few supportive / relative key words but not more than 2 or 3.&nbsp; </p><p>2. Wait and see which Squidoo lens 'hits' -- meaning, which one came up on a search engine or started getting some traffic. </p><p>3. <p>People have been asking me about my opinion of <a href="http://www.squidoo.com/buildingonabudgetdillard">Building on a Budget</a>, a new product offered by <strong>Mike Dillard</strong>.</p><p>When I first heard about Dillards, &quot;Building on a Budget,&quot; I dismissed it.&nbsp; We've already been teaching people how to build their prospects list with Web 2.0 social marketing (with low budget techniques)&nbsp;successfully for several months.&nbsp; I just didn't see the significance of another book that most people in networking wouldn't be able to follow up on.</p><p>But today I did order <strong>Building on a Budget</strong>, and I'll be posting a full and ongoing reivew at this <a href="http://www.squidoo.com/buildingonabudgetdillard">Building on a Budget </a>review lense at Squidoo after it arrives.</p><h2>Why did I decide to order Building on a Budget?</h2><p>I realize that this will be a great introduction for people who are not yet aware of Web 2.0 social marketing.&nbsp; And since <a href="http://www.networkmarketingsolved.com/mike.marketingmerge.com/dillard">Mike Dillard </a>has a huge mailing list, this product will do a great service even if most people won't be able to follow through on what it shares.</p><p>And that's where we'll come in.&nbsp; We'll assist those people, as we have done, with the video step-by-step tutorials they need to truly get their Internet marketing going--so they can, indeed, build their business on a budget, attracting their prospects to them, just as Dillard talks about.</p><p><a href="http://www.squidoo.com/buildingonabudgetdillard">Building on a Budget </a>is most likely going to spark the industry's interest even moreso for learning Internet attraction marketing.&nbsp; Ezine publishers who are looking for content for their Ezine often search for articles they can publish (so they don't have to write them themselves).&nbsp; </font></p><p><font style="color: #27334d" color="#27334d">So in addition to possibly coming up on the search engines when you post an article at Ezinearticles.com, you can get a ton of hits to your lead capture page if publishers select your content for their Ezine because it leads readers to your resource box with your web link at the bottom. </font></p><p><font style="color: #27334d" color="#27334d">Some of the articles I have written at Ezinearticles were too heavily promoting my stuff (like promoting Renegade Network Marketer, or the University for example).&nbsp; Ezine publishers are less likely to choose those.&nbsp; So I am sharing the below article with you so you can see the difference between an article that I am aiming to get picked up by a publisher, versus an article that is more promotional for me (for search engines, etc).</font></p><p><font style="color: #27334d" color="#27334d">At the end of this article, I give you an example of an Ezinearticle that I have posted that would be less likely to get published by someone else.</font></p><p><font style="color: #27334d" color="#27334d"><strong>Headline of Article</strong></font></p><p><font style="color: #27334d" color="#27334d"><strong><em>Network Marketing Plus Web 2.0 Social Media Equals A Real Business For MLM</em></strong></font></p><p><font style="color: #27334d" color="#27334d"><strong>Summary</strong></font></p><p><font style="color: #27334d" color="#27334d">Before Web 2.0 Internet marketing it was simply too expensive or too complicated for the average network marketer to afford and implement an effective marketing campaign.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; So with television, radio and print media out of reach the MLM industry resorted to tactics like the 3-foot rule, the warm market names list, and cold calling. But now, with Web 2.0 Internet Marketing, 'non-techie' networkers low on cash can realistically generate huge numbers of leads and attract their customers and prospects to them just like a real business.</font></p><p><font style="color: #27334d" color="#27334d"><strong>Article</strong></font></p><p>If you've been in or around the network marketing industry you've seen some of the consequences of old-school MLM tactics.</p><p>Sure, there are plenty of empowering things to talk about within the model, but there are also some tough realities that a lot of MLMers just don't want to discuss.&nbsp; </p><p>What happens when you send trusting people out into the world to build their dream with only a names list and a few memorized phrases to use in the grocery store line?&nbsp; </p><p>This hasn't typically produced the results promised and while the blame is often placed on a 'weak belief system,' it could also be blamed on a weak model.</p><p><strong>But there were other options, weren't there?...</strong></p><p>When people got burnt on the names list and 3-foot rule, and if their skin was tough enough, they could start maxing out their credit cards to buy leads and do the cold calling game.&nbsp; </p><p>But that didn't make very many people rich other than a few leads companies and a <u>fraction of a percent</u> who have created some real magic...&nbsp; </p><p>The success stories usually came out of 80 hour work weeks for long durations--I've heard the stories and you probably have too.&nbsp; Let's face it.&nbsp; It took an unusual extraordinary effort to succeed in MLM the old way.</p><p>So since the 3-foot rule, friends and family, and cold calling leads didn't work very well the focus of training was placed upon mindset development... basically get your belief system so strong you can't quit--and that has kept the MLM industry going.</p><p>This whole model made sense up until now...&nbsp; Because average people could NOT afford to do marketing like 'real businesses' could... and average people, which is what drives the network marketing industry, didn't have the skills to put together an effective marketing campaign.</p><p><strong>But now with the Internet and Web 2.0 'Social Marketing' this has all started to change...</strong> </p><p>No longer do you need television, radio or print media to put together a powerful marketing campaign that gets huge numbers of people coming to you.&nbsp; With social Web 2.0 marketing it can cost nothing to produce the big-dog results.&nbsp; And while building a web site used to require 'techie' skills, that's no longer the case at all.</p><p>The time has come.&nbsp; Because of Web 2.0 marketing, it's now possible for average people to learn to employ real marketing strategies, and to have a real business where the prospects and customers come to them... and where you can monetize (produce cash-flow) from multiple sources while attracting the key prospects to the higher ticket (or higher commitment) item, like your opportunity. </p><p><strong>What is Web 2.0 Marketing?</strong></p><p>If this is the first time you've heard the term Web 2.0, it's also referred to as Social Media or Social Marketing.&nbsp; In the context of marketing they are all referring to the same thing.&nbsp; </p><p>Web 2.0 is where users interact with the content on the web (create web pages, interact with others socially, create blogs, post articles and videos, such as on You Tube, and provide content such as what you're reading now).&nbsp; </p><p>Check out this headline I found from BusinessWeek just yesterday:</p><blockquote><p>Social Media Will Change Your Business... Look past the yakkers, hobbyists, and political mobs. Your customers and rivals are figuring blogs out. Our advice: Catch up...or catch you later!</p></blockquote><p>Because of Web 2.0 Social media, average people, in a diverse and endless list of ways, can attract large numbers of people to them, monetize their business for much needed cash-flow, all while building their network marketing opportunity in style.&nbsp; </p><p>This is changing the network marketing industry as we know it today for one major reason:&nbsp; </p><p>It's easier, more cost effective, and it's more practical.&nbsp; It allows the average network marketer to do real marketing and operate like a real business, but with all the MLM home-based business advantages still in tact.&nbsp; Here was my reply...</p><p>Hi Sherry, </p><p>I&rsquo;m glad you asked! </p><p>Mike Dillard has contributed a lot by helping introduce &ldquo;attraction-monetization&rdquo; marketing to the networking industry, but we realized very quickly that most people would need a lot more step-by-step help. And that&rsquo;s where Renegade University started&mdash;we literally show people where to go online to set up their marketing, rather than just describing it. But this is just the beginning of the differences between what we&rsquo;re providing and what Dillard is set up to offer. </p><p>Anyone who has been building a list of prospects very long knows that the majority of people on their list are either intimidated by the Internet or their computer, or they feel overwhelmed by the idea of having to figure out how to set up their own marketing process from a manual. We are addressing this group of people (the majority) first and foremost with visual step by step tutorials that are introduced in bite sizes they can swallow, and this is something nobody has done before. </p><p>We started all this with a test on over 100 people last summer and fall &ndash; these were people I knew well because I had been coaching them in the old model for quite some time. Most of them were between the ages of 40-75 and the idea of Internet marketing made them very uncomfortable. We introduced Magnetic Sponsoring and checked in with them to see what they learned. Some were impressed but none knew where to start. The cost of Traffic Formula was too much for most of them. Those few people who did purchase it were very intimidated when it arrived. We also introduced The Renegade ebook and saw a significant difference in their motivation and understanding, but they were still not sure what to do. We then started our step-by-step &lsquo;go here, go there&rsquo; instructions and within weeks we had over 70 of them reporting back that they were building their lists, much to their own amazement. They were selling ebooks (The Renegade, which we felt was better for a larger audience) and building a list. Many started getting phone calls from prospects right away. </p><p>Wrapped up into this, we also offer a much better monetization strategy that allows people to assist their prospects over the long-run, which is required if someone is to going to attract large numbers of people into their networking business. By earning $18 per month for each prospect or team member who upgrades to Renegade Professional (where they receive tons of ongoing step-by-step help to learn how to market online) you&rsquo;re able to afford more time to them, which is a key to being a successful service provider. </p><p>In addition, the upgraded version is only $39 month and offers significantly more value and help for beginners than the $397-$997 Traffic Formula course book Dillard offers. Don&rsquo;t misunderstand, I think Dillard&rsquo;s material is great, but the challenge is that the majority of people will not get through that manual because it&rsquo;s not set up for beginners, it&rsquo;s designed for leaders. And the price will keep most away in the first place. </p><p>In addition to all of this, we are providing so many more tools that gets beginners going right off the bat without having to learn so much. That boosts their confidence and keeps them focused on moving forward rather than getting stuck. For example, at Renegade Professional they have access to their own auto-email system where they can modify and personalize the auto emails going out to their prospects. In Dillard&rsquo;s system he&rsquo;s the only one who can send emails to his group unless you download his list and &lsquo;break the email rules&rsquo; by emailing them yourself from elsewhere. That&rsquo;s a lot for a brand new person to have to learn on top of everything else. We make it easier for the beginners (easier to learn and earn) because we give them a way (and teach them) how to create their own story in those auto emails that go out without them immediately having to learn Awebber, Icontact or GetResponse (or some other auto email program). Later, after they are more successful, we then offer training in the step by step tutorial fashion on how to set up an account at another location but it&rsquo;s not necessary in order for them to begin and to start sharing their story and promoting themselves to their prospects. </p><p>There is so much more given as well that highlights them as the guide and leader, rather than promoting just the creator of the system (like Dillard&rsquo;s system does, where it promotes him more than the person who referred the prospect to the system). If you log into your account at Renegade University you will notice right away it is promoting the person who referred you. And that&rsquo;s the free area. There is even more of this happening in the Renegade Professional area. </p><p>We intend to take this new model to the next level for the industry. That&rsquo;s what a leader can offer and now you can by partnering with the University. </p><p><strong>When Attracting Prospects, What Links Do You Promote? </strong></p><p>Some people have asked if they should promote The Renegade links, Magnetic Sponsoring links, or their Renegade University links&hellip; or if you have your own lead capture pages, should you just keep promoting those and later refer people to the University. </p><p>The answer will depend upon what type of advertising you are doing and where you&rsquo;re at in your own process of marketing. </p><p>I would suggest that if you are already marketing something (The Renegade ebook, Magnetic Sponsoring or your own lead capture pages), continue with what you are doing, but start testing some marketing of your Renegade University links to directly drive some people straight in. Or, just promote your University links to your email list. It&rsquo;s up to you. For now I am promoting strictly the Renegade University links and am doing quite well. I have noticed that I am selling significantly more Renegade books than I was, but I&rsquo;m only 10 days into it so it&rsquo;s early. I do believe more are purchasing the book now because they see all the support and training they get at the University in Step 2 after they have their book. </p><p>Another advantage of promoting your Renegade University link in advertising is that you will collect the prospects&rsquo; phone number (even before they buy the book). We will soon be providing tracking so you can track hits to your University links. </p><p>Certainly, for the reasons I described above, you want to share your University link with every contact you have who is interested in the new model of marketing. Whether you want to advertise it first is up to you. </p><p><strong>More Updates&hellip; </strong></p><p>For those of you who have loaded in your photos, some of you may have noticed your photos were too large. I was told last night that this has been corrected where people will no longer be able to load photos that are too large&hellip; these don&rsquo;t look good on your web page. We are looking through and trying to fix this for you when we see it.
