Hi. We’ve talked a lot about The Renegade ebook and how you can use ‘attraction marketing’ to build your business an entirely new way—where you can go beyond the friends & family list, the 3 foot rule, expensive Internet advertising, or cold calling.

Today we’re going to focus on just one of the empowering benefits of this model:

Creating your own leads at no cost...

How many of us have spent hundreds or even thousands of dollars buying leads? I’ve actually spent tens of thousands of dollars over the years on leads. It’s extremely expensive and very time consuming to build this way. It’s not practical because too much money is going out with too little back. Most people can’t maintain the cost or the emotional challenge of hard core sales.

Many people rely on the friends and family list or the 3-foot rule to build their business. This is what many companies teach. The problem is that it’s not 100% honest to tell people they can build a successful business this way unless they plan to take it to a very high level of intensity for a very long period of time—something most people are not going to do. There’s nothing wrong with sharing a good thing with those you know if it’s natural, but to build your entire business this way is not realistic unless you’re going to be a super hero.

Others have ventured onto the Internet with Google Adwords or other forms of advertising. This is a great step in the right direction because you’re learning how to attract your ‘target market’ audience to you. This is much more time efficient, but if you miss the element we’re going to talk about today you’ll break the bank. Most people can’t sustain this simply because of the cost.

With the new networking model, however, we’ve talked about attracting your target market to you in a way that is sustainable.

What if you can make money while you’re prospecting? What does this question even mean you might ask…

Whether you’re prospecting in the warm market, cold calling or creating your own leads online, most prospects will not enroll into your business or buy your product. That’s the way it is. The timing is not right for everybody. But… if you can make some money by providing value to prospects who don’t join you, this will allow you to continue in the game long enough to find the people who are ready to join you and to build a large business with them.

How do you do this?

There is a multitude of ways to accomplish this. As you progress in the ‘new’ model you begin to learn how to create your own ways. In the beginning, however, it’s good to start with something already in place. That is what the Renegade is all about, which is the book and system I’ve been sharing with you. That particular approach works like this:

1. You advertise a referral web link on the Internet that markets the Renegade book. This book attracts other network marketers (our target market in this case) who are seeking education to build a successful business. Some are already in a business. Some are shopping.
2. As you’re marketing your referral link, some people purchase the book. These people become your leads. The money you make puts money in your pocket to help you pay for your ad costs. This allows you to build your own prospects list at no cost to you. We have gotten people started with advertising methods that cost nothing. This is the slowest way to start but it works over time. When a book is sold it gives them money to then start venturing out into other forms of advertising.
3. Also while you’re marketing, people will download the free ‘7 Lies’ book which helps you build your prospects list as well. Some of them will later purchase the Renegade book.
4. All of your prospects start receiving valuable emails with information that is helpful for them. This builds your relationship with them and over time brings them to you.
5. You can call and offer assistance to your prospects. By doing so you build a relationship. Since this is an ideal target market (networkers) you’re leveraging your time optimally
6. When the timing is right, as is the case with all types of prospecting, these people join you in business or buy the products from you. There is a better chance of this if you have done your job as a solutions provider and have helped them without just selling them. While you’re building a relationship with them, you are making money as you prospect allowing you to continually build your prospects list.
7. There are other ways to generate income as you do all this. For example, if any of your prospects purchase other marketing tools (like website domain names, email auto responder services, or hundreds of other useful services for marketing) you also get commissions. This happens in the background adding more money to your advertising budget so you can continually grow your list
8. If you follow through and keep building the list it gets to a point where you have more prospects than you can work with allowing you to pass high quality prospects to your team. This gives new prospects you talk to even more incentive to want to join you
