Michael Dlouhy is an Internet MLM Guru, But is His Mentoring for Free Program All That it Appears?

Michael Dlouhy is an Internet MLM guru best known for being the creator and owner of Mentoring for Free, a network marketing training systerm. He is also a top leader with the network marketing company, VitaMark. Is Mentoring for Free a training program exclusively for Vitamark representatives? Absolutely not. But a large number of Mentoring for Free participants end up joining Vitamark, and therein lies both the program’s greatest asset and its strongest source of criticism.

Mentoring for Free: The Advantages and Disadvantages

Mentoring for Free offers some valuable training for network marketers. For instance, every Saturday night there is a Mastermind call in which you can exchange ideas and insights with other network marketers. There is also valuable training on different personality profiles and how to approach different personality types, as well as how to best work with them as a network marketing leaders. Mentoring for Free also provides training to help you simplify compensation plans and it teaches you which personality types work best with different types of compensation plans.

The biggest criticism of Mentoring for Free is that it is said to have a hidden agenda, namely to recruit people into Dlouhy’s network marketing company (Vitamark). How is this done? By making other MLMs appear less attractive than Vitamark - in subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) ways.

For instance, Michael Dlouhy emphasizes reading a company's Policies & Procedures and he offers advice for identifying clauses that could jeopardize a distributor's financial success. This is great advice for any network marketer. However, the types of Policies & Procedures Dlouhy advocates are nearly identical to those of his company and, according to some, he seems to find fault with most other companies’ Policies & Procedures. Similarly, Michael Dlouhy finds fault with the compensation plans of many companies. While company names aren't mentioned it is made clear enough that the company Dlouhy represents has a good compensation plan.

These allegations of a hidden agenda depend on your perspective. In this Mentoring for Free review, Psychologist Dr. Mark Worther, shares his perspective on the advantages and disadvantages of the program.

I recently spoke with a very successful internet marketer, Ian Parkin, about Mentoring for Free. Ian Parkin is the #1 distributor for Send Out Cards in Australia and is also a successful affiliate marketer. Ian was using the Mentoring for Free system, but found that it was too biased to provide fair training for all network marketers. As Ian Parkin says, "In the end, the 5 pillars DO leave ONLY his company standing. But from it all I know what I have to do to keep things simple for us all."

The bottom line is that Mentoring for Free provides some valuable training and information. As for the rest, it is up to you to decide what kind of network marketing training is best for you.
