There are several software systems available some are paid for and others are FREE.
Today I will introduce you to one of the most popular of these internet marketing tools called SKYPE that is used all over the world.

What is Skype?
It is a system that uses VOIP protocol.
What does this mean?
In simple terms you can talk in real time for FREE over the Internet via your broad brand connection to anyone who has Skype installed on their computer.
Skype has many other facilities most of them for FREE and a few that are paid.
Let’s take a look at what Skype can offer you and your business if you are a beginner and on a shoe string budget.
Basically if you Work From Home it is a simple system that does it all for you.
Skype allows you to up-load your photo. and personalise your bio. You can even have your own sales line or message.

There is a search facility that allows you to find other Skype uses and invite them to be a contact. You can also block contacts.
Skype Conversations.
You simply create a group of people that you want to talk with and Click “Conversations” It is also possible to add people to the group while you are chatting.
This is a great way to share information with your team quickly, easily and instantly.
You can use this Instant Messaging Service for up to 100 people.
Skype Conference Calls.
This is a neat tool for up to 25 people.
Once again select your group.

This is the latest Skype innovation.
Download the video application – FREE.
Set up your webcam and Voila! You can begin your video conference.
Take a look at some of the Skype videos and you will see companies that are using this tool with great success across the globe. “Rip Curl” being one of them. It enables you to be out of town, out of the office and work with multinational clients or your own groups. It makes it so easy to show new design ideas instantly.
It’s also a great tool for contacting and staying in touch with family and friends – in real time.
Skype Files
This is a neat tool. It allows you to up-load and download files without limitation. Great application when you are scheduling a training with your group and you need to exchange information.
Skype Payments.
This is another facility that allows you to send payments via your Skype account.

Skype has other paid facilities.
There are unlimited calls to landlines anytime, day or night to many countries and there is no long term contact.
The low monthly cost varies depending on which level you choose, calls within you own country, Europe or the world. This includes voice mail so you never miss another call. You also receive your own online number.
If you prefer you can simply buy “Pay As You Go” Skype credits.
There are no hidden connection fees.
It amazes me that still so many people across the globe are not utilizing this FREE tool if only to have a simple one-to-one conversation.
The only downside that I have experienced is that it does slow up your computer. If you are going to have a session on skype it is best to reduce the number of programmes you have open.
This is a great way to get started with Webinars. If you like you can simply practise with a family member or member or your team.

"I use Skype regularly for conference calls, and am generally pretty happy with it. If someone on the call has a bad internet connection, it will affect their sound quality (audio breaks up), but that would be the case for pretty much any application, I imagine.
There are a few free screen sharing applications which can be used as add-ons to the Skype platform. The quality is a little sub-par when compared to gotomeeting, but for one-on-one screen sharing for those on a budget, it might be a good solution. Two of the ones that come to mind are Mikogo and InnerPass.
