BookWise Merges With ILearningGlobal

However, in August, of 2008, BookWise announced that they are merging with another network marketing company, known as ILearningGlobal. The company is now no longer in business and ILearningGlobal has completely taken over the company.
Why Did BookWise Merge?
While BookWise was a very interesting concept, the bottom line is that the company lacked in the execution of the concept. Whenever you are building a network marketing company, the distributors are very concerned about stability. Anything you do to change that stability is going to have a negative impact on the company.
This is the major problem that BookWise encountered. They made too many changes to their business opportunity and these changes caused the distributors in the company to get frustrated. As a result, the company found it very difficult to grow its customer base and to grow its distributor network.
The company was founded in early 2007 by best selling authors Richard Paul Evans and Robert Allen. In its first year of operation, the company made a number of changes to its compensation plan.
Then in 2008, BookWise announced that they were changing from a network marketing business model to an affiliate marketing business model. This led to major changes to the compensation plan, pricing structure and more.
Instead of motivating the representatives in the company, the changes discouraged them. The opportunity came along to merge with ILearningGlobal and the owners decided to make the move.
What is ILearningGlobal?
ILearningGlobal is a network marketing company that offers subscriptions to an online learning library. By subscribing to the service you get access to training videos, training audios and electronic books. You get access to this content 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
The company was founded by Bill Rowland and Richmond Founders, both with extensive experience in traditional business and in the direct sales industry. They have also hired best selling author, Brian Tracy as Chief Learning Officer.
Apparently it looks like the merger was done for ILearningGlobal to get access to the team of independent representatives that Bookwise already established. There is nothing in their product offering that indicates they will be leveraging Bookwise’s business model of selling books.
ILearningGlobal certainly isn’t the first network marketing company to offer personal development training online. Their strongest competitor to date looks to be Success University, a network marketing company that offers a similar subscription based service for $30 a month less than what ILearningGlobal charges for their service.
